June 9, 2010 Accessories No Comments

The replacement Insert Block Assemblies allow the shooter to use his Race Master holster for more than just one gun. Each Block is machined to fit one particular gun model, and the insert can be replaced within a minutes allowing the use of a second or third gun. The insert can be replaced without loosing the settings of the holster, so the very same rig can be used with ease.

Note that there are Shorty insert blocks for the Shorty model holster, and full size insert blocks for the full size holster.

Each insert comes assembled and ready to use. All you have to do is remove the original insert by opening the two M4 screws at the back of the holster, and removing the Tension screw to disassemble. Remember to use the Pressure plate from your original holster in the new insert block.

Each insert block is packed in a handy blister pack, which can be used to store the spare insert in your range bag.

Watch this video tutorial on how to change the inserts.

A few shooters have said that the large tension screw on the side of the holster can interfere with their hand as it slides up the outside of the holster. These shooters also mentioned, correctly, that the retention of the holster is so good, that increasing the tension of the draw really is not needed, so they do not feel they have to have the possibility to turn the knob by hand. To meet this request, we will shortly offer a tension screw which has been cut down, making it much smaller so that it hardly protrudes from the side of the holster at all. it has a slit for a screw driver to adjust the tension and to disassemble. Coming soon.
